A 52 year old female victim called Corpus Christi Police after a verbal argument in a moving truck caused her ex-husband to jump out.
The female said she was driving her ex-husband, who is living with the victim, home when they got into an argument. The male jumped out of the vehicle when it stopped in traffic near Waldron Road and Yorktown Road and started walking down the street. The female left the area, only to return a short time later to pick up the male who was still walking.
When the male suspect got into the passenger seat of the truck, he grabbed the victim around the neck and placed her in a head lock. He then punched her in the face three to four times causing a cut to her right eye. The male got back out of the truck and left on foot.
Officers located the ex-husband, Richard Misquez (12/10/1962), in the parking lot of an auto parts store on Waldron Road and he was arrested for assault.
CCFD EMS responded to treat the victim for her injuries, but she declined to be taken to the hospital.

Corpus Christi Police were called by the 34 year old male victim of an auto burglary advising that his vehicle had been broken into while it was parked at the IHOP Restaurant located at 5202 S. Padre Island Drive.
He told officers that the suspects had stolen several items from his 2014 Toyota truck, including a MacBook Pro laptop, by breaking out the rear passenger side window. He told officers he had tracked his laptop with another computer and it was showing to be at the Dollar General Store located at 2978 Holly Road.
As officers arrived at the store to investigate, the suspect took off in a red 2009 Saturn car, and the suspect was able to elude police. The victim continued to track the laptop and he was able to give officers updates on the suspect’s location.
The red Saturn that the suspect fled in was tracked to the 4600 block of Totten Street. Officers were directed there and found the Saturn, parked on the side of the street. The Saturn turned out to be a stolen vehicle.
Inside the car, officers found property from multiple auto burglaries. A perimeter was set and Corpus Christi Police K9 units responded but the suspect was not located.
The victim was able to get back his garment bag with clothes valued at $800.00, a computer bag that contained the MacBook Pro valued at $2,700.00, and an IPAD valued at $700.00.
The stolen Saturn car was impounded and officers will attempt to have it processed for evidence that may help them identify the suspect.

A 19 year old male walked into Spohn Memorial Hospital emergency room with a gunshot wound to his thigh.
The victim told officers that he was walking home from a convenience store when he was approached by a man in his early twenties wearing jeans and a white shirt and armed with a handgun. The male suspect demanded a gold chain and pendant the victim was wearing. The victim said the suspect shot him once in the left thigh when he refused to give up his property. The victim said a struggle ensued and the suspect fled on foot. After the shooting a neighbor came out and gave the victim a ride to the hospital.
Officers returned to the area where the victim said the shooting occurred but did not locate a crime scene. The person who gave the victim a ride could not be located either.
Doctors told officers that the victims injuries were not life threatening.
Officers continue to investigate this case, and at this time no suspects have been arrested.
