A couple spending the evening at a local bingo hall had to call Corpus Christi Police when they were ready to leave because their truck had been stolen.
The couple left the 2006 Chevrolet truck unlocked and the keys under the floor mat at about 5:30 PM while they went inside the business at 9840 Leopard Street. At 9 PM they discovered the truck had been stolen.
Just after midnight, an officer driving through a parking lot found the truck unoccupied at the Westwood Apartments, 9850 La Branch Street.
No suspects were arrested, and officers continue to investigate this case.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and both occupants wound up in jail.
The officer observed the driver of a 2002 Honda Accord, fail to use a signal when changing lanes and turning. The officer stopped the car near the Weber Road and S. Padre Island Drive intersection and during the investigation he discovered drugs, credit cards not belonging to either the driver or the passenger, burglar tools, gloves, lock pic tools, a face mask, and a realistic looking toy handgun inside the car. There was also several car stereos, and eight sets of vehicle ignition keys in the car.
The female passenger, Jessica Blandford, (07/27/1984), was arrested for fraud and possession of a controlled substance, both state jail felonies, when methamphetamine and other peoples credit cards were found in her purse.
The driver, Gene Hinojosa, (05/18/1982), was arrested for possession of a criminal instrument, a misdemeanor, due to the burglar tools he had in the car.

Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to the area of Curtis Clark Drive and S. Staples Street when neighbors called after they heard at least three shots being fired from a passing car.
One caller witnessed a male shooting from the passenger side of a white four door vehicle. Shortly after that, responding officers observed a white 2008 Ford Crown Victoria traveling west on Holly Road near Weber Road that appeared to have two males inside.
When the officers stopped the car to investigate, the driver told them that there were weapons in the backseat. Officers found a case with an assault style rifle inside on the back seat and a handgun on the back floorboard.
In the 5300 block of Curtiss Clark Drive, officers found three shell casings in the street. They did not located anything that had been hit by the gunfire.
After an investigation officers determined that the passenger, Chivas Tousant (03/28/1980) had fired the weapon and he was arrested for discharging a firearm in a municipality, a Class A misdemeanor.
The driver of the suspect vehicle, Deneil Davis (02/11/1988), was found to have a suspended driver’s license and he was arrested.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol observed a vehicle in front of him not staying in a single lane of travel.
The officer stopped the 2009 Dodge Charger and contacted the female driver, Sabrina Flores (09/09/1992), and after an investigation determined that she was intoxicated.
Two children were also found in the back seat of the females’ vehicle. A 4 year old boy, a son of the female, and a 5 year old girl. The girl is the child of one of the female’s friends.
Both children were released to the father of the 5 year old girl.
The female driver was arrested for two counts of driving while intoxicated with a child, a felony charge.
