The Corpus Christi Police Department generated 143 reports for formal criminal complaints from midnight March 1 to 7:00 a.m. on March 2, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

A 40 year old man called Corpus Christi Police and Fire Department Units after he came out of his home located in the 9100 block of Scapular Street and found his truck on fire.

The owner of the 2007 Dodge Truck said he parked his truck in front of his home at about 5:00 PM.   Just before 4:30 AM the next morning, he came out to find the door to the gas tank open and the vehicle fully engulfed in flames.
The victim believes that one of his neighbors may be responsible for the arson.  At this time no suspects have been arrested and the investigation into this cause will continue.

Offense: Driving While Intoxicated

Corpus Christi Police responded to a crash involving a car and a building located in the 3600 block of Leopard Street.

Officers arrived and found a gold Nissan passenger car wrecked into the side of 3626 Leopard Street at Du-West Foundation Repair. They also saw a male exit the driver seat and flee on foot from the scene. Officers were able to chase the suspect down, and after a struggle, took him into custody.

After an investigation it was determined that the suspected driver, Freddie Major (09/02/1971), was driving his vehicle west on Leopard Street when he left the roadway and struck a fence and the building.  Total damage to the property was estimated to be nearly $6,700.  The suspect was also determined to be intoxicated.

He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, and additionally charged with evading arrest on foot and resting arrest, both Class A misdemeanors.

Corpus Christi Police responded to an audible alarm at a business located at 3755 Leopard Street.  Officers found the front glass door at the Cricket Wireless Store had been shattered. The glass was still in place, and it did not appear that entry was made into the business.

Damage to the business was estimated to be over $1000.

A few hours later, officers responded to a runway call at a home located in the 1500 block of Lexington Street.  While officers were investigating this call, the two juveniles who were being reported as runways returned home.

After speaking to the 12 year old female, and the 14 year old male it was determined that while they were out of the house they had thrown a rock at the glass door of the business breaking the glass.

The two juveniles were released to a parent, and officers will follow up on filing charges against them with the Nueces County Juvenile Justice Center.

Offense: Driving While Intoxicated

Corpus Christi Police responded to a crash involving a truck and several air conditioning units at an apartment complex located at 2240 N. Padre Island Drive.

Officers arrived and found a 2011 GMC Sierra truck had struck three large outside air condition units. The truck was still running and officers made contact with a male sitting in the driver seat.

After an investigation it was determined that the driver, Abram Trevino (07/26/1963), was intoxicated and he was arrested.

He was additionally charged with unlawful carrying of a firearm, a Class A misdemeanor,  when a Beretta 9 millimeter handgun was found in the center console of the truck.
