The Corpus Christi Police Department generated 174 reports for formal criminal complaints from midnight March 5 to 7:00 a.m. on March 6, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

 

“ADAM” District

Location: 3200 Interstate Highway 69 Access Road North
Offense: Driving While Intoxicated

Case Number: 1503050101
Corpus Christi Police responded to a single vehicle crash in the parking lot of Mike Shaw Toyota located at 3232 Interstate 69.

Officers arrived and observed a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze sedan had crashed into the front gate of the dealership.  The officer also saw that the driver of the car was still inside and he was attempting to reverse the vehicle off the gate.

Officers contacted the driver, Jimmy Patton (10/13/1991), and after an investigation determined that he was intoxicated.  He was treated for minor injuries at Spohn Shoreline Hospital and then arrested for driving while intoxicated.

The dealership estimated that the crash did nearly $500 in damage to the gate.

 

“CHARLIE” District

A 52 year old female called Corpus Christi Police after her estranged husband threatened her and a male friend of hers with a gun in the parking lot of a bar located at 4610 S. Padre Island Drive.

Officers arrived and were able to view camera footage from the bar security system, and they saw a black SUV with the female and her male friend pull into the parking lot.  The male got out of the SUV and a short time later a dark colored passenger car pulls up.  The estranged husband gets out of the car and runs to the male and begins to push, and punch him.

After the assault estranged husband returns to his car and retrieves a gun and points it at the man and several witnesses in the parking lot.

Officers arrested the estranged husband, Thomas O’Donnell (01/08/1963), and also recovered a Glock 9 millimeter handgun.

The male that was assaulted was not seriously injured.

 

 

 

 

“DELTA” District

Offense: Fatal Crash

Corpus Christi Police responded to a single vehicle fatality crash on Blevins Street near the intersection of Tyler Street.  An officer on patrol heard the crash, and was able to quickly respond to the scene.

Upon arrival he found a 2004 green Ford Explorer resting on its top.  The crash investigation revealed that the SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed east on Blevins Street when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it started to roll.  The SUV came to rest on its top in the street.

The driver, a 36 year old female, was ejected and she died at the scene.  A 39 year old male passenger in the vehicle possibly broke his ribs and he was transported by CCFD EMS to Spohn Memorial Hospital.

Traffic Investigators are still investigating this crash, and it is unknown at this time if alcohol was a factor.
