A 62 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after his girlfriend threw a speaker at him.
Officers responded to the disturbance at an apartment located in the 1900 block of Wallace Avenue. When they arrived, the man told them that he was attempting to go to sleep after a verbal argument with his girlfriend when she grabbed an object and threw it at him. The object, which was a speaker from the computer, caused a minor cut to his forehead.
Officers arrested the girlfriend, Annette Hinojosa (06/14/1967), for aggravated assault.
The man refused medical treatment.

A witness following a possible drunk driver couldn’t call 911 fast enough before the car he saw driving recklessly drove off the roadway and into a field.
Officers arrived at the scene of the one car crash in the 9300 block of State Highway 361. A man, who had stopped to assist the driver, told them that he had been following the car for a few miles coming into Corpus Christi and had seen it driving out of its lane, and into oncoming traffic.
He told officers that he was on the phone with a 911 operator to report the possible drunk driver when he witnessed it travel off the highway, down into a ditch, and come to rest in a field.
He and his passenger stopped to assist the driver of the 2009 Saturn four door. The driver was not injured in the crash.
After an investigation officers arrested, Erica Sheppard (03/23/1994), for driving while intoxicated.

A 19 year old female victim called Corpus Christi Police after a female suspect made entry through the back door of her apartment located at 4040 Schanen Boulevard.
The backdoor had been left unlocked after her roommates left the apartment to go to the store. The suspect, is a former girlfriend of one the victims roommates.
Once inside the suspect picked up a knife in the kitchen and started to bang on her ex-boyfriends bedroom door. When no one answered the suspect exited the apartment through the front door and once outside of the apartment the victim was able to lock the doors. When the suspect realized she was locked out, she used the knife to break out a window and climbed back in.
The victim then attempted to hide in the bathroom but the suspect charged the door and was able to get the knife blade through the opening and she started swinging it inside the restroom.
At about this time the victims roommates returned and they were able to disarm the suspect, and rescue the victim.
The suspect, Nereida Anaya (09/04/1980), was held until police arrived. She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
No one in the apartment was injured.

Corpus Christi Police Officers responding to call about a suspicious man riding a bicycle in the 1200 block of Mary Street found him hiding in someone’s car.
An officer arrived in the area of the call and observed a bicycle lying next to a 2003 Dodge Durango that was parked along the street in front of a home. As the officer started to investigate he looked inside the parked car and saw a man attempting to conceal himself on the floor of the backseat.
The officer had the man, Albert Enriquez (09/17/1971), exit the vehicle and arrested him.
The officer located the owner of the SUV, who confirmed that the vehicle had been broken into, and that items the suspect had in his possession belonged to him.
It is believed that the vehicle was left unlocked because there was no sign of forced entry .
