A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol through a neighborhood alley found a man wanted by the United State Marshall Service.

The officer was driving through an alley behind the 300 block of Meldo Park when he saw a man attempt to hide himself behind some vehicles.  When the officer went to talk to the man, he lied about his name.  When the officer finally got the man’s true name, it was determined that he was wanted by the U.S. Marshalls for fraud.

Once in custody, the officer found the suspect to be in possession of checks that belonged to another person, and an identification card belonging to another person.  A plastic bag with methamphetamine was also found in his pants pocket.

The suspect, Paul Dye (07/15/1966) was arrested for the outstanding warrant, forgery, fraud, and possession of a controlled substance.  All of these are felony crimes.

A man and a women staying at a local hotel were robbed when they opened the door of their room.

A 31 year old male victim told officers that he was in his hotel room located at 3925 South Padre Island Drive with his girlfriend when he heard a knock at the door.  The male looked out and recognized three men at his door that he had worked with in the oilfield.  When he opened the door all three men rushed into the room, assaulted him, and stole the money from his income tax refund. The victim told officers that one of the men was armed with a handgun.  The three suspects quickly left the room and were seen getting into a newer model white Nissan Altima.

The victim was able to provide officers the first names of the suspects involved, however, they were not located.

The male victim did suffer cuts to his head, but refused to be treated for his injuries.

The female was not injured.

Offense: Driving While Intoxicated

A suspected intoxicated driver could not get her car turned and struck another car that was stopped at the intersection of Weber Road and Linden Street.

The driver was attempting to turn her truck from Weber Road onto Linden Street when it struck a Chevrolet Camaro.

The 53 year old female driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.

After an investigation, the driver of the truck, Nadine Saldana (03/29/1975), was determined to be intoxicated and she was arrested.
