A man having a party at his home found himself under arrest after he decided to fire several shots into the air with a shotgun.
Corpus Christi Police responded to the area of 5000 Cynthia Street after receiving calls from residents in the area about shots they heard in the area.
Officers arrived and found, Jose Sanchez (07/21/1994), in the driveway of his home. While talking to him officers observed fourteen red 12 gauge shotgun shells in his driveway. He directed officers to his Ford Explorer parked in the driveway and under the back seat the officers found a shotgun.
The man was arrested for discharging a firearm in a municipality, a Class A misdemeanor.

Corpus Christ Police responded to a large party on the beach involving nearly 150 people.
One of the males in the crowd yelled out that he had a gun and he was going to shoot someone. Officers contacted the male that was making the threats and he gave them a false name and date of birth.
When officers did locate his identification card they determined his real name was Jose Manuel Ojeda (07/08/1992). He was found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Bee County. One warrant was for possession of a controlled substance, and the other a warrant for bail jumping. The bond amount for both warrants was $40,000.
The man was arrested for the warrants and for giving a false name to the officers.
No weapon was ever located.

Corpus Christi Police responded to an alarm at a business located at 3810 South Alameda, Four Chicks in the Park, and found that suspects had done damage to the front door of the business while trying to break in.
The suspects did not make it into the business but did do about $700 in damage to the front door after they attempted to pry it open. It is believed that the audible alarm from the business scared the suspect away.
“DELTA” District

Offense: Aggravated Assault
P.C. 22.02 Second Degree Felony

A 21 year old female victim walked into the emergency room of Spohn Memorial Hospital after she was assaulted and stabbed while walking in the 1300 block of Kostoryz Road earlier in the morning.
The victim told officers that while she was walking at about 3 AM, she heard a female in a dark area say “that’s the girl.” The victim believes that at least two females attacked her. The female suspects hit and kicked the victim several times. She was also stabbed once in the right thigh.
The victim did not get a good description of the female suspects.
The victim then walked to another friend’s home and attempted to treat the injuries herself, but she could not get the stab wound to stop bleeding. She then got a ride to the emergency room.
Her injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
Officers are still investigating this case, and at this time no suspects have been arrested.
