Patrol Report 04/07/2015

The Corpus Christi Police Department generated 235 reports for formal criminal complaints from midnight April 6 to 7:00 a.m. on April 7, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

 

“ADAM” District

Offense: Abuse of 911 Service

A female called for police and ambulance service 35 times in one day and was arrested for abuse of the 911 service.

The female, Christina Turnbull (06/29/1957), made repeated 911 calls to request EMS service to her motel room located at the Valley Motel at 5300 Leopard Street.

After contacting the female several times during the day and finding nothing wrong, officers finally put a stop to the calls by arresting the women.

An employee of a Texas Star Store located at 11102 Interstate 37 called Corpus Christi Police after the store was robbed by a man who was armed with a gun that was covered by a shirt.

The clerk told officers that a man with a bandanna covering most of his face and holding a gun wrapped in a black t-shirt came in the store and took cash from the register.  After the robbery the suspect ran along the access road toward McKenzie Road. 

The 20 year old store clerk was not injured.

The suspect was described as a white male in his twenties, 5`5″ tall, 150 pounds, last seen wearing a long sleeve black shirt, dark pants, and a black bandanna covering his face.

Officers checked the area for the suspect but he was not located.

Officers continue to investigate this case, and hope to obtain camera surveillance from the store as soon as possible.

A 27 year male victim called Corpus Christi Police after his girlfriend attacked him with a hammer.

The victim said that an argument escalated and his girlfriend became violent. She picked up a hammer and struck him in the leg.  She then started breaking windows and hitting the walls with the hammer.

During the altercation the victim was able to get the hammer away from the female and placed it outside on the front porch.  Moments later she ran outside and grabbed the hammer and ran back inside.

Officers were able to go into the house and arrest the female, Stephanie Hinojosa (11/13/1984), for aggravated assault.  She was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance when officers found methamphetamine in her purse.

The victim refused medical treatment for his injuries.

An ongoing dispute between two men led to one man being stabbed and the other going to jail.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a stabbing call in the 1000 block of Nueces Bay Boulevard and found a 28 year old male victim had been stabbed multiple times in his torso and arm.  He was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital by CCFD EMS for his injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

Witnesses told officers the two men were yelling at each other across the parking lot of a store located on Nueces Bay Boulevard.  When they approached each other the two began fighting and sometime during the fight the victim was stabbed.

Witnesses were able to tell officers that the suspect had been picked up by a white Ford truck.  That truck was later stopped by other officers at the intersection of Palm Street and Antelope Street.

The suspect, Paul Perez (05/02/1987), was arrested for aggravated assault.
