A 32 year old female victim called Corpus Christi Police after she was stabbed in the arm by an ex-boyfriend. The victim was able to leave the home and meet officers at the McDonalds Restaurant down the street.
The victim told officers that she was at her home in the 500 block of Scott Street when the ex-boyfriend came in through an unsecure back door. Once inside he became aware that the female had made a report with police regarding a prior assault in which she named him as the suspect. An argument between the two became physical when the man pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the female in the right arm.
CCFD EMS responded to treat the female for the injury, but she refused to be transported to the hospital.
By the time officers arrived back at the home, the suspect had left. Officers did not locate the suspect and at this time no arrests have been made.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a check cashing business after a female attempted to cash a stolen check.
Officers arrived in time to catch the female suspect walking out the door of the Speedy Cash located at 2102 Baldwin Boulevard. The check cashing clerk told officers that the female had come to the business attempting to cash a check made out to her for housekeeping.
When the clerk called the owner of the check to verify it was good to cash, she was informed that the check was part of a book of checks that had been stolen. The victim further told the clerk that a book of checks along with her purse was stolen from her shopping cart while she was at the Wal-Mat located at Five Points back on March 26.
The female attempting to cash the check, Shawn Lee Garcia (01/23/1991), was arrested by officers and charged with forgery.

A 20 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after he was robbed at gunpoint after agreeing to meet another male he met on a social media site.
Both males met up at Dolphin Park on North Beach and the victim got into the other man’s vehicle. Once inside the driver of the car pulled out a handgun and threatened the victim if he did not give him money. When the victim refused, the suspect hit him in the head with the gun causing a cut to the victims’ head. He took his keys and wallet and then went to the victims’ parked car and went through it looking for other items to steal.
The suspect fled the scene in his car.
The victim was able to provide officers a possible name of the suspect and the make and model of his car.
Officers were not able to locate the suspect, but they continue to investigate this crime. CCFD EMS treated the victim for his injuries at the scene.
