Patrol Report 04/29/2015

The Corpus Christi Police Department generated 194 reports for formal criminal complaints from midnight April 28 to 7:00 a.m. on April 29, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

 

 

“BRAVO” District

Offense: Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

Case Number: 15004090077
A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol observed a driver using a cell phone while driving and stopped the truck, only to find out the vehicle had been reported stolen.

Once the vehicle was stopped and the officer checked the license plate he was informed that the 1995 Ford F50 truck had been reported stolen from a home located in the 400 block of Vega Street back on April 9.

The officer was able to arrest the driver, Gregory Crissup (03/29/1991), for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a felony.

Also in the vehicle was a female passenger, Christi Gonzales (10/08/1994).  She was arrested for possession of a controlled substance after methamphetamine was found in her purse.

A 27 year old female called Corpus Christi Police after she was robbed at gunpoint while walking her dog.

The female told officers that she was walking her dog in the 700 block of Monette Drive when a skinny black male, about 25 to 30 years of age, who was standing down the street, asked her what time it was.

After answering him she turned back around and continued walking. She then heard someone running toward her from behind and turned to see the male running at her with a silver gun in his hand. The male pointed the gun at her and took her phone.

After robbing the female, the suspect fled on foot through a nearby yard.  He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and shorts.

The female was not seriously injured.

Officers did not locate the suspect.

A 53 year old male called Corpus Christi Police after a male suspect broke into his home while he was sleeping and stabbed him.

The male victim told officers that he was asleep in the living room of his home located in the 200 block of Shawnee Street  when an unknown male came in through an unlocked back door.

The male suspect stabbed the victim in the right shoulder and the stole his cell phone and cash.

The victim was treated by CCFD EMS for a small wound to the shoulder blade that appeared to have been caused by a knife. The victim was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

The suspect was last seen running down Shawnee Street on foot. He is described as being 28 to 30 years of age. He is 5`8″ to 5`9″ tall and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing grey coveralls.

At this time no suspects have been arrested.

A 20 year old male was shot after he got lost in a neighborhood and pulled over to check his GPS.  The male victim was able to drive himself to the hospital and call Corpus Christi Police.

Officers arrived at the hospital and they were told by the victim that he, his 21 year old wife, their 2 year old daughter and two other friends were driving in the area of 1400 Eighteenth Street.  They got lost while looking for a friend’s house, and pulled over to check GPS for the address.

While they were park, the victim said that two males approached the vehicle and asked for money. The victim started to pull out a few dollars to give to the males when one of them pulled out a handgun and pointed it at him demanding all of his money.

The victim then put the car in drive and attempted to flee. The suspect armed with the gun fired several shots striking the vehicle.

The victim stopped the car down the street and exited to check the condition of his child that was in the back seat.  While the victim was outside of the car, the suspect fired several more shots at him, one striking him in the upper right leg.

The male victim then jumped back into the driver seat and drove to Spohn Shoreline Hospital.

No one else in the car was hit by any of the shots that were fired.

Officers went to the area and located several shell casings.

At this time no suspects have been arrested.
