Patrol Report 05/11/2015

The Corpus Christi Police Department generated 232 reports for formal criminal complaints from midnight May 10 to 7:00 a.m. on May 11, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

 

“ADAM” District

Offense: Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol ran a license plate on a vehicle that he saw in the 4900 block of Greenwood Drive and found it be stolen.

The officer was able to stop the  stolen 2009 GMC truck and take the driver, Andrew Brunkenhoeffer (12/06/1979),  into custody. 

He was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a state jail felony, and he was additionally charged with possession of a firearm, a Class A misdemeanor when a revolver was found in the truck.

The truck had been reported stolen from a home located in the 800 block of Ester Drive on April 17.

 

 

“BRAVO” District

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to a home located in the 7300 block of Gingerberry Drive for an assault with a weapon.

When officers arrived, a 63 year old man told them that his 39 year old son became upset with him and his mother after they found him taking apart his bedroom furniture and told him to stop. The son punched his father in the chest knocking him down.  When the mother went to help the father up off the floor, her son hit her also.

The couple made it outside but then they heard the son throwing things around so the father re-entered the house to retrieve some property. When he did, the son pulled out a knife and stabbed his father several times.

The father had lacerations on his right and left arm and was transported to Spohn South by CCFD EMS with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

The mother was not seriously injured.

The son left out the back door prior to police arrival and has not been located.

 

“CHARLIE” District

A vehicle trying to leave a fight in the parking lot of a local nightclub led to a crash at the intersection of South Staples Street and Holly Road.

Officers came upon the crash and were told by one of the drivers that he was being shot at while in the parking lot of The Palace Men’s Club located at 5850 Everhart Road.

The 22 year old male driver and his 24 year old female passenger said they were assaulted as they walked out into the parking lot.  The couple said that several males starting hitting them and then they heard shots being fired.

They then fled at a high rate of speed thinking they were being followed and crashed into another car at South Staples Street and Holly Road.

After officers investigated the call, they determined that nothing appeared to have been hit by the gunfire. Officers did locate several .380 shell casings in the parking lot of the nightclub.

The driver of the car that was hit by the fleeing couple was not injured in the crash.

At this time officers continue to investigate this case, and at this time no arrests have been made.

Corpus Christi Police were dispatched to the 1700 Nueces Bay Boulevard after a report of a man walking in that area was bleeding.

Officers arrived and contacted the 37 year old male victim who had been stabbed on both of his hands.  His left hand had a more severe laceration.

The victim told officers that the stabbing occurred in Ingleside.

CCFD EMS arrived and the victim was very uncooperative and did not want to be transported to the hospital.  The victim was finally convinced that the cut on his left hand needed immediate medical attention and he agreed to be transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital.

The Ingleside Police Department had generated a report already for the incident. That agency is currently investigating the case.
