The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 833 calls for service and generated 209 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. October 6 to 7:00 a.m. on October 7, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

A 46 year old man was attacked by another man behind the Burger King, located in the 1100 block of Waldron Road.

Witnesses to the fight called police, and when Officers arrived the suspect had already left the area. They told Officers that the two men were arguing behind the business when they started to fight. At one point, the suspect pushed the victim to the ground and started stomping on his head until he lost consciousness.

The victim was transported to Bay Area Hospital by CCFD EMS with serious injuries.

The suspect was identified, however, he was not located.

Corpus Christi Police were called after a 22 year old female gave birth to a baby girl and then left the hospital without her newborn child.

The mother, who gave birth to the child at Bay Area Hospital, asked to be discharged about two hours after giving birth. When the mother did not return, and hospital staff could not contact her, they called police.

Officers attempted to check the home address given to the hospital by the female, but she was not located.

The Safe Haven Law states that a baby, younger than 60 days old, that is unharmed and safe may be taken to any hospital, fire station, or emergency medical services (EMS) station in Texas and you will not be prosecuted for abandonment or neglect.

The newborn remained in the care of the hospital and Child Protective Services was notified.

A 33 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after his girlfriend threw a piece of glass at him cutting him on his back.

The victim told Officers that the two were involved in a physical disturbance at their home located in the 1000 block of Fleet Avenue.

During the disturbance, the female threw a piece of glass from a broken glass cup at him. The piece of glass hit the victim on his back, cutting him. The female also tried to attack the victim with a broken glass vase.

Officers arrested the girlfriend, Christy Mestas (11/14/1990), for aggravated assault.

The victim had to have stitches to close the wound on his back.

A female called Corpus Christi Police after her neighbor came over to her home causing a disturbance outside.

The neighbor left the home, located in the 1400 block of Woodlawn Drive, in his truck before police arrived. While Officers were speaking to the female regarding this call, the neighbor came driving down the street.

Officers stopped the 2002 GMC truck driven by the neighbor, Pete Acuna 10/27/1960), and after an investigation they determined he was intoxicated. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, a Class A Misdemeanor,
