SECOND VEHICLE OF INTEREST IN WEEKEND SHOOTING

Update: The owner of this vehicle has been located and ruled out as a suspect. We are no longer looking to identify the driver of this vehicle. The picture was removed to lessen any confusion. We are still actively looking to identify the driver of the gold/tan passenger car.

Location: 2000 block of SPID
Incident: Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 18, 2021, officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of SPID for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located one victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are still actively working on this case and following up on leads.

At this time, Corpus Christi Police Detectives are seeking assistance from the public. Detectives have obtained surveillance images of a second vehicle of interest, that is being described as a black in color compact vehicle.
