Location: 4800 Carroll Lane
Offense: Aggravated Assault (P.C. 22.02 Second Degree Felony)
Case Number: 1405220024

Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a home in the 4800 block of Carroll Lane for a possible shooting being called in by a third party. Upon arrival officers found a 39 year old victim in his bed with what appeared to be a bullet hole to his forehead. The victim was conscious and alert. During the investigation the officers determined that the victim had gone to contact an ex-girlfriend in the 3200 block of Reid Drive. When the 25 year old ex-girlfriend refused to allow him in, the victim began to yell at her causing a disturbance outside. She said the victim was then approached by three to four males while he was outside and then she heard yelling. The victim is believed to have driven himself from Reid Drive to his home on Carroll Lane and while driving home he contacted the third party, who in turn called police. The victim was transported to the hospital and upon further investigation it was determined that the head wound was from an unknown object, not a bullet.
