An 86-year-old woman reported to the Corpus Christi Police that her purse was taken without permission Saturday at a grocery store while she shopped. The 86-year-old woman said a person followed her and made small talk until the 86-year-old woman turned her back on the basket and purse while she got an item out of the freezer in the frozen food section. The 86-year-old woman said when turned back to the cart, the purse and the person who made small talk were gone. Corpus Christi Police are searching for a Hispanic female about 30 years in age with the name “Melissa” tattooed on the left side of her neck in relation to this theft.

A 17-year-old man reported to the Corpus Christi Police that a man took his phone by force Sunday afternoon at an apartment complex located at 11325 Interstate Highway 37 Access Road. The 17-year-old man explained that he advertised the phone for sale for $250 dollars on the internet and a respondent met the 17-year-old man at the apartment complex to buy the phone. The 17-year-old man said the buyer had money and so the 17-year-old man handed the man the phone. The 17-year-old man told Police that the buyer put the money back into his pocket, displayed a knife and then left with the phone and the money. No injuries were reported and Police are searching for a Hispanic man with brown hair and green eyes. Investigators are also investigating the computer profile used by the buyer to contact the 17-year-old man in an effort to identify the suspect in this case.

A 25-year-old woman reported a burglary to the Corpus Christi Police at the 100 block of Wellwood Street Sunday afternoon. The 25-year-old woman explained that she got out of the shower and found an unknown man in the house. The man left the house without causing injury to the woman and got into a brown Buick to leave the area. The 25-year-old woman told Investigators she believes the man entered the house through an unlocked door. Police are searching for a Hispanic man about 20 years of age and weighs about 160 pounds.

The 40-year-old woman told Investigators she believes the person entered the home through a window by pushing out a window unit air conditioner.

A 23-year-old man was arrested for Deadly Conduct Sunday morning after he discharged a firearm in a crowded parking lot. No injuries or damage were reported. Corpus Christi Police monitored the parking lot of a nightclub at closing time when a fight erupted. Corpus Christi Police Officers rushed to break up the fight when 23-year-old Isidro Garcia (3/15/1990) fired several shots in the air. Police arrested Garcia for Deadly Conduct and for Unlawfully Carrying of a Weapon and then delivered him to the city detention center.

A 31-year-old woman reported a robbery Friday night to Corpus Christi Police at 3750 South Staples Street. The 31-year-old woman told Police that she is an employee for the store and opened the register to get change for a customer when the customer demanded all the money in the register. The 31-year-old woman complied and the man left the store toward Cott Street. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man about 40 years of age, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 220 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, had a mustache and wore a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. No injuries were reported.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a disturbance compliant at the 3700 block of La Paz at 1:14am Sunday Morning. Officers went into a house and saw 20-year-old Juan Rodriguez (6/3/1993) fighting another 20-year-old man. The Officers arrested Rodriguez. Rodriguez resisted the arrest and bit a Corpus Christi Police Officer on the leg several times. Rodriguez was delivered to the city detention center for Assault and for Resisting Arrest.

Police Officers went to a house and saw Riojas run out the back door. Corpus Christi Police Officers caught Riojas and charged him with the warrant for his arrest for a probation violation on an original charge of intimidation. Riojas was additionally charged with evading arrest and for possession of marijuana.

The Officers discovered Pineda had a variety of contraband in his home at the time of the arrest and additionally charged Pineda with Possession of marijuana and possession of controlled substances.

The man then left the store with cash and cigarettes. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a 20-year-old man who wore a black zipper front hoodie, long gray denim shorts, a blue flat bill cap, gray gloves, gray shoes, and a brace on his left hand.

A 25-year-old man reported to the Corpus Christi Police that he was stabbed several times after he was randomly jumped by five unknown men Friday night at the 700 block of North Staples Street. The 25-year-old man was taken to the hospital by ambulance with what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries. No suspects have been apprehended and Police continue to investigate.

Corpus Christi Police took two eleven year old boys into custody for burglary to the Wynn Seale Academy Middle School on Saturday. Corpus Christi Police responded to an alarm and saw two eleven year old boys pry open a window to the school. The Officers discovered the two juveniles had gained entry into the school in another area and removed several tablet computers. The two boys were taken to the Nueces County Juvenile Detention Center.

A 26-year-old man was arrested Sunday morning after he caused a crash with a Corpus Christi Police marked patrol car. A uniformed Corpus Christi Police Officer drove his marked patrol car through the intersection of Brownlee Boulevard and Mary Street when a silver 2010 Chevy Camaro drove past a stop sign without stopping and struck the patrol car. No injuries were reported, but the driver of the Camaro, 26-year-old Martin Hernandez (10/2/1986) was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and delivered to the city detention center.

The 28-year-old woman told the 19-year-old man to leave in the presence of the Officer, but the 19-year-old man ignored the demand to leave. The Officer then arrested 19-year-old James Johnson (12/19/1990) for Criminal Trespass and then delivered him to the city detention center.

A 22-year-old man reported to Corpus Christi Police that he made a driving error on Airline Road and a man in a black Chevy Pickup Truck pointed a handgun at the 22-year-old man. No injuries or damage was reported. The 22-year-old man provided a description of the man and the vehicle to Police. Corpus Christi Police located a black truck with a man who matched the description provided, but did not find enough evidence to effect an arrest, so the suspect was released. Police continue to investigate.

The Officer found a bag of what the Officer believed to be synthetic marijuana with the girl. The girl was delivered several miles away to her home and released to her 32-year-old mother.

Corpus Christi Police went to the 4100 block of Herndon Street Monday evening to investigate a threat complaint. The Officers interviewed 22-year-old Kyle Sullivan McCort (4/9/1991) and discovered he had a warrant for his arrest for an assault in Travis County. Sullivan McCort was then arrested for the warrant and then delivered to the city detention center.

The Officer arrested 24-year-old Robert Ramirez (5/25/1989) for Driving While Intoxicated with an open alcoholic beverage container in the vehicle. Ramirez was delivered to the city detention center and the vehicle was taken to the city impound.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer responded to a complaint of several men attempting to break into vehicles at the 2700 block of Sunray Circle at 2:12am. The Officer saw three men who immediately ran from the Officer. The Officer caught 19-year-old Timothy Thompson (1/26/1994) and 18-year-old Xavian Stewart (2/15/1995) and arrested them both for evading arrest. Thompson was also arrested for two warrants for his arrest, one for burglary of a building and the other for burglary of a vehicle. Thompson and Stewart were delivered to the city detention center and impounded a red 1990 Chevy 1500 pickup. Police continue to search for the third suspect in this case.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 20-year-old Emily Brown (5/12/1993) for public intoxication on the 7100 block of South Padre Island Drive Friday night after she caused a disturbance with hospital staff and refused to go home with her father. Brown insisted she wanted to walk home but was taken to the city detention center instead.

The Officer arrested the driver, 38-year-old Kimberly Prickett (12/21/1974), for reckless driving. Prickett had an active warrant for arrest for Driving While License Invalid and was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of dangerous drugs because Prickett had several medications which were not prescribed to her. Prickett was also charged with Driving While License Invalid for the instance of her reckless driving. Corpus Christi Police caught a 13-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl on the 4400 block of Spring Street Sunday night and took them into custody for Burglary of a Habitation, Criminal Mischief, and possession of marijuana. A 56-year-old man found the three teens inside a vacant house and the 56-year-old man called police. The 56-year-old man said the teens caused an estimated $10,000 dollars worth of damage to the house. The teens ran from the 56-year-old man but were apprehended by Corpus Christi Police and delivered to the Nueces County Juvenile Detention Center.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a single vehicle crash at the 1600 block of Nile Drive at 9:40pm Thursday night. A black 2007 Dodge Charger driven by a 25-year-old man travelled on South Padre Island Drive and conducted a turn to travel south on Nile. The Charger struck a utility pole and rolled. The 25-year-old driver and two women passengers received non life-threatening injuries. Police arrested the 25-year-old driver, Scott Knesek (1/20/1988) for driving while intoxicated with 2 or more previous convictions. Knesek was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation and to collect a specimen of his blood. Knesek was then delivered to the city detention center.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer conducted a traffic stop at the 3000 block of Jamaica Drive at 1:58am Friday morning. The Officer discovered the passenger of the maroon 1993 Cadillac Deville was 27-year-old Michael Alvarado (3/30/1986), a fugitive on the Nueces County’s Top Ten Most Wanted list for September 2013.

The Officer then investigated the driver, 26-year-old Tara Speer (1/29/1987) and discovered contraband. The Officer arrested Speer for Possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Officer arrested Alvarado for possession of a controlled substance, fail to identify as a fugitive from justice, and for the warrant of arrest for Burglary of a Habitation. Speer and Alvarado were then delivered to the city detention center.

Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a Burglary in Progress complaint where a 27-year-old woman believed someone was inside her house without permission. The 27-year-old woman told the responding Officers that while she got out of the shower she heard a person talk to her dog. The 27-year-old woman told Officers after she heard the voice, she opened the door she saw what she thought was a person walk towards her kitchen.  The 27-year-old woman and a neighbor both armed themselves with handguns and then they checked the house before Police arrived.  There was no evidence of forced entry and there was nothing missing from the home.

The 37-year-old man then took the truck which belongs to the 29-year-old woman and drove through a security gate causing an estimated $3,000 dollars in damage. The 37-year-old man has not yet been apprehended.

Police are searching for a black 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck valued at about $2,500 dollars and the 37-year-old man described as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.

The 32-year-old woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Police are searching for the group of six who fled in a white Chevrolet Impala.

A 42-year-old employee reported to the Corpus Christi Police that the 66-year-old patient walked away from the facility and there is concern for his medical conditions. The 66-year-old man is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. The 66-year-old man was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue pants.
