A 24-year-old man was killed and a 20-year-old man was seriously injured Monday night at the 4100 block of Brett Street.

Corpus Christi Police were dispatched to the Four Winds Apartments on the 4100 block of Brett Street to investigate a complaint of gunshots. Police Officers discovered evidence of an aggravated assault and then received information that a 24-year-old man arrived at an area hospital with a fatal gunshot wound.

Corpus Christi Police collected information from several witnesses who said they saw a fight and heard a gunshot. Corpus Christi Police Detectives arrived to collect evidence and information and are still in the early stages of the investigation for this crime.

The Detectives discovered a 20-year-old man at an area hospital that had a gunshot wound to the head. The 20-year-old man was at a different hospital than the 24-year-old man and detectives believe the two men were injured in the same event at the Four Winds Apartments. Detectives did not interfere with medical treatment for the 20-year-old and look forward to gather information from that man at a later time.

Corpus Christi Police have no suspect description to provide the public and ask that anyone with information about this crime to call the Corpus Christi Police Robbery/Homicide Detectives immediately.
