The victim told officers that a male threw a rock at the business breaking a window. The victim showed officers the video of the incident. The video shows a male pick up a object, walk up to the business and throw it. The suspect then walks away. The suspect is wearing dark shoes with red lacing, black socks, shorts, a light colored bleached shirt and possibly a rag or handkerchief tied around his head.

The suspect is described as a 20-29 year old male wearing a black Jordan Hoodie, black Jordan shorts, a black ball cap and black and white Jordan shoes. He also had tear drop tattoos near both his left and right eyes.

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the 2300 Block of Horne Rd. in reference to a disturbance with a gun. Moments later the call was upgraded to a shooting. Officers arrived and observed the 38 year old male victim face down in the parking lot and was deceased. Officers contacted witness and checked the scene and were able to get a basic description of the suspect and the vehicle that he left in.
Officers learned that a disturbance began in the bar. The suspect and the victim went outside into the parking lot and that is when the suspect shot the victim. The suspect left the scene in a dark colored car. While officers were actively working the scene a subject entered the crime scene and was contacted by officers. The subject told officers that he was the one who shot the victim. The suspect was detained and a weapon was recovered. Officers arrested Jehova Gonzalez (05/23/1988) and transported him to the City Detention Center. Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the 6500 block of High Arch Court in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival officers contacted the 75 year old male suspect and detained him. Officers checked the house and discovered the 94 year old female victim in a wheelchair deceased from what appeared to be a gunshot. Officers learned that the suspect took some pills prior to the officers arriving. He was transported to Bay Area Hospital for treatment. The deceased victim was the mother of the suspect. Officers arrested and transported Leslie Charles Nelson (08/10/1942) to the City Detention Center once he was cleared from the hospital. This is still an ongoing investigation.

Offense: Burglary of a Motor Vehicle

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 3829 IH 69 Access (Wal-Mart parking lot) in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. Officers arrived and contacted the victim who advised that someone broke into his truck. The victim stated that he went in to Wal-Mart and set his alarm on his truck. When he came out approximately ten minutes later he noticed his lights were flashing. He reset his alarm and when he got to his truck he noticed his back driver side window to be broken. The victim checked his vehicle and advised police that nothing appeared to be missing.
A witness advised the victim that he observed two dark complected males park to the left of the victims truck in a Jeep with paper tags. The witness stated that one of the males broke the back window and attempted to get into the truck through the window. The suspects were startled and fled the scene taking nothing from the vehicle. The victim told officers that he had stopped at a bank drive thru and withdrew some money. He remembers seeing a Jeep in the parking lot and thinks they may have followed him from the bank.
Right now detectives have little to go on. CCPD wants to remind everyone to be aware of their surroundings and to not leave valuables or cash in your car. The Corpus Christi Police Department Robbery Bureau obtained a warrant for Roberto Johnnie Garcia 11/30/1974 for Agg Robbery, Bond $100,000 in connection with the Pier 99 robbery. He also has a active Parole Warrant for Carrying Prohibited Weapon. He is approximately 5′ 11″ tall, weighs 200 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes.

Corpus Christi Police Detectives need your help identifying this suspected burglar. The complainant advised officers that someone had burglarized her house. The front door was kicked in and the house was ransacked. Witnesses advised that they saw a dark colored vehicle and a thin male exit the vehicle. The video shows a male exiting the vehicle and returning a few minutes later carrying a bag. He gets into the vehicle and drives away.

Offense: Aggravated Assault W/Deadly Weapon

On July 21, 2017 Officers responded to the 1400 block of Devon, reference a shots fired call, which was upgraded to a shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, Officers located a 47-year-old male with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with critical injuries and remains hospitalized today.
On July 22, 2017 at approximately 8:05 p.m. Officers effected a traffic stop near the intersection of 19th Street and Mussett Street, which resulted in an arrest of Guzman, Jonathan (08/02/1986). Guzman was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon, Possession of Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2-A and Possession/Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia. Through ballistic testing, it was discovered that the weapon being possessed by Guzman during the traffic stop was the same weapon used in the shooting on Devon.
A warrant was subsequently issued for Jonathan Guzman for the charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Guzman remains in the Nueces County Jail and is being held on a $250,000 bond.

The suspect is approximately 6′ tall weighing about 175 pounds. He was wearing a blue polo shirt, blue jean shorts, tennis shoes and white sunglasses. The suspect exits the business and gets into a blue pickup truck (possibly a Chevy Colorado) and drives away.
