Two More Victims Come Forward In Two George’s Restaurant Fraud Investigation

The Corpus Christi Police Department is investigating multiple complaints from the public that their credit cards have been billed extra charges by Two George’s Restaurant.  A total of sixteen victim’s have come forward to report these fraudulent charges with an estimated $20,000 charged on the victim’s charge cards.

Investigators with the Forgery Unit ask citizens, who have dined at Two George’s Restaurant in the past, to look at their credit card statements to ensure there are no erroneous charges from this or any other location.

If fraudulent charges are found, please contact the police department at (361) 886-2600 to file a report.  This report can be filed with the Corpus Christi Police Department’s Telephone Reporting Unit.

Update:

Over the weekend Officers contacted two victims who reported fraudulent charges were also billed to their credit cards by Two George’s Restaurant.

One victim reported approximately $14,000 was charged to his credit card when he and his wife invited several friends to join them for a dinner party at the restaurant.  The other victim told Officers over $1,700 in unauthorized charges were also added to her credit card.

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the Corpus Christi Police Department’s Forgery Division.
