10.4.2011/5:22pm Taylor/Shoreline Blvd Warrant of Arrest 1110040092
Jesse Sarmiento (6.16.1966) called into the 911 Dispatch Center stating that he had been robbed. He stated to the dispatcher that he was following the suspects towards the downtown area. Officers were able to get behind the suspect vehicle and made a traffic stop. Once Officers made contact with everyone they heard the rest of the story.
Mr. Sarmiento said that he had dropped some money on the floor of a store in Odem. When he went back to the store to ask about it, the clerk stated that they had given the found money to a lady who was driving away at the time. Mr. Sarmiento followed the lady and two others to an address at Omaha where he confronted them. When the people in the vehicle denied having Mr. Sarmiento’s money, he called Police for assistance. The individuals whom Mr. Sarmiento thought had stolen his money then left towards downtown where they were contacted by Police.
Officers were not able to find the money that Mr. Sarmiento claimed to have lost. What they did find was that Sarmiento was wanted out of Nueces County for Assault Causes Bodily Injury, out of County Court #2. He was arrested for the warrant.
Officers made contact with the San Patricio Sheriff’s Office so that Mr. Sarmiento’s theft case could be reported.
