Homicide/Robbery Detective L. Garza obtained an arrest warrant on March 15, 2012 for Jorge Calleros (11/19/74) who is wanted for robbing the Avenue Department Store on May 5, 2012.  Calleros is accused of entering the business and handing the clerk a note demanding money.  During the robbery, Calleros told employees he was armed with a handgun.

Calleros fled the store with an undetermined amount of money, but did leave a crucial piece of evidence behind.  The “robbery note” which was processed for prints by the CCPD Forensic Unit and Calleros’ prints were subsequently identified on the note by our Latent Examiner.  Aggravated Robbery warrant #2012-FL-00058-FE-JP1-2 was issued for Calleros with a $50,000 bond.
