Victim of Robbery Wakes Up in Cemetery

Occurred on 6/4/12, 9:30 pm  Robbery  400 Ashland    1206040165 

Officers contacted the 22-year-old victim who reported he had been robbed, but was unable to remember any details other being downtown.  The victim was suffering from a facial and head trauma.  He told Officers his money had been taken out of his wallet. The victim was taken to Spohn Memorial by CCFD Emergency Personnel.    

Further investigation revealed, the victim had been found inside one of the Chapels at Seaside Memorial Cemetery and asked to leave by security.  Shortly thereafter, the victim asked for help and the police were called.  

It appeared the victim was intoxicated and unable to provide Officers with any suspect information.  The Police Department encourages anyone with information on this crime to call 888-TIPS or submit a tip online at www.888TIPS.com.  Tips that lead to the arrest of the suspect can receive cash rewards up to a $1,000.
