Officers contacted the owner of the Hermanos Solis Restaurant who reported the business was burglarized overnight. Once inside, the suspect forced his way into the office and disconnected the wires from what he thought was the video system. The suspect pulled the wrong wires and the burglary was caught on video surveillance. An older male could be seen on video taking the money from the register and the jukebox.
Property Crimes Detective G. Shipley obtained a copy of the video and distributed still images to all officers. Senior Officer M. Thebeau sought out the burglar and located Patrick John Kimmelman (05/04/54) who was still wearing the same shorts and sandals. Kimmelman agreed to speak to Detectives at the Police Department. After meeting with Detective Shipley, Kimmelman was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Business.
