Two men and a woman were arrested shortly after midnight for their involvement in a home burglary. Officers were dispatched to the 1425 Sulaine Place for several individuals fighting and windows being broken. While en route Officers found Mateo Tanguma (06/11/95) and his wife, Fidela Maria Tanguma (01/15/93) quickly walking away and detained them.
Further investigation revealed Fidela Tanguma sent the 19-year-old victim a threatening text message. When she saw the couple accompanied by Noe Oscar Vela (11/16/92) walking towards her apartment, she ran inside and locked the door. The men smashed the windows and the front door was unlocked, allowing them to enter the apartment.
The pregnant victim was able to escape injury by locking herself in the bathroom. Another woman outside the apartment told Officers she was held down by Maria J. Rosales (04/25/76) while an unidentified woman punched and choked her. Rosales was arrested and charged with an outstanding Municipal Court warrant for $534.90.
Mateo and Fidela Tanguma along with Noe Vela were arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation, a 2nd degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
