Officer E. Tagle pulled over a gold Lincoln Navigator for a traffic violation in the 1000 block of Clare.  The driver Raul Barrera Jr. (01/15/85) was placed under arrest for an outstanding Jim Wells County warrant for Probation Violation (No Bond) and Driving While License Invalid.

Barrera was additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance when approximately 24 grams of Cocaine were found in the floor board of the vehicle.

Officers also found several packages (77.28 grams) of what is believed to be “synthetic marijuana” which was confiscated pending further investigation. Barrera could face additional charges if the “synthetic marijuana” is deemed illegal.
