Occurred on 11/25/12, 07:15am Aggravated Robbery    715 Comanche Street  1211250061/1211250086

Police contacted a 19-year-old man who reported he was robbed at gunpoint.  The man told Officers he was visiting at a friend’s house when two men walked in through an open door.  The victim was playing Xbox when one of the men put a gun to his head and the other man disconnected the Xbox.  The two men left with the game system and controllers.

Later that day, shortly before 5:00pm, Officers responded to a shooting at 1401 N. Alameda which was tied to the robbery.  The victim and the 27-year-old owner of the Xbox went in search of the suspects. They found the suspect in the parking lot of North Side Manor and an argument ensued when the suspect refused to return the gaming system.   Both men walked away, but were confronted by the suspect and two other men.

The suspect then shot the owner of the Xbox, while the original victim of the robbery was able to escape.  A tenant of the complex heard the gunshot and hid the victim until Police and Emergency Personnel arrived.  The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for the gunshot wound to his thigh.

Officers were able to positively identify the shooter who fled prior to their arrival.  Corpus Christi Police Department Homicide/Robbery Detectives have taken over the investigation and ask that anyone with any information on this crime is encouraged to call the Criminal Investigation Division at 361-886-2841.  If the callers would like to remain anonymous they can call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS.  Tipsters will earn a cash reward if the suspect is arrested.
