Officers of the Corpus Christi Police Department will participate in a flag football game for a charity toy drive this Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the John Paul School field located at 3036 Saratoga Boulevard.
The event is organized by the League of Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council #1 and Judge Robert (Bobby) Balderas. The toys will be collected by LULAC.
The football games will begin at 9:00am on Saturday, December 1 with a game between the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office and the Corpus Christi Fire Department. The second game will be between the Corpus Christi Police Officers and the Robstown Police Officers. The public is encouraged to attend the events. Admission is an unwrapped new toy or a cash donation to the LULAC.
Participants consider this to be a friendly competition to promote generosity in our community.
