The Corpus Christi Police Department would like help from the public to identify and locate individuals responsible for a theft at the 2500 block of Halsey Street that happened on Friday, March 15, 2013.
An 83-year-old woman walked from a grocery store located at 3033 South Port Avenue at 2:50pm. The woman walked to the back of the store to pass through a fence onto the 2500 block of Halsey Street when a man took the woman’s purse and ran into a silver car to escape.
Corpus Christi Police Detectives have obtained video of the event and saw a man exit the rear of a silver four door car, approach the 83-year-old woman, and take the purse. The man who actually took the purse is described as a white man who wore a red visor, gray t-shirt with the number 24 on the front of the shirt, khaki cargo shorts, and white tennis shoes.
