Police were called to Longview and Up River Road for a fight, possibly related to a traffic accident.  Officers arrived to find an unconscious man on the driver’s side of a blue Chevrolet Silverado.  He was taken to Spohn Memorial with serious injuries.

The man’s girlfriend told Officers they pulled over to change a flat tire when the assault occurred.  A man in a white or champagne colored Cadillac parked in front of the truck and assaulted the victim knocking him unconscious.  The woman told Officers she was afraid for her safety and locked herself in the truck until the suspect fled in light-colored Cadillac.

The suspect is described as a Black man, 20 to 30 years of age, 5’6” to 5’8” feet tall, weighing 150 to 160 lbs.  He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.

Detectives with the Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Bureau ask that anyone with any information on this crime is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS or submit a tip online www.888TIPS.com.  Tipsters will earn a cash reward if the suspect is arrested.
