Officers arrested Daniel Ray Fretwell (10/14/70) in the 1010 block of Navigation.  Fretwell who is considered armed and dangerous was taken into custody at his residence.  He was booked at  the City Detention Center and charged with an outstanding Parole Violation warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

An Officer was flagged down at the Stripes Convenience Store located at 701 N. Staples for a stabbing which occurred at the old Police Station.  Officers contacted witnesses who reported Walter Louis King (07/22/60) slapped a 49-year-old woman and then stabbed a 52-year-old man who came to her defense.  The man had a stab wound to his forearm and a laceration to his head.  He was taken to Spohn Memorial by CCFD Emergency Personnel.

Officers located King at his residence and found him to be bleeding from a cut to his head.  King was injured when the stabbing victim threw a chair at him.  King was taken to Spohn Memorial and medically cleared.  He was then booked at the City Detention Center and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
