The Corpus Christi Police would like to make the public aware of an event that happened in the area near Airline and Gollihar so they may make informed decisions. A 47-year-old woman reported to the Corpus Christi Police that a man attempted to gain entry into her home on Thursday afternoon. The 47-year-old woman said she confronted the man who said he was an employee for AEP. The man then left the home. There was no damage or injury in this event.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer contacted the man in the neighborhood and was told by the man he was a sales representative from Reliant Energy. There was no evidence to merit an arrest, so the man was identified and released. Representatives from AEP and Reliant were contacted and claimed the man was neither an employee nor a representative of the company.

The man was described as a 39-year-old black male that is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 170 pounds, black hair and brown eyes, and wore a black jersey and blue jeans.
