Offense: Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (Penal Code Section 31.07) State Jail Felony

Case Number: 1312110079

A 44-year-old woman reported her white 2009 Lincoln Navigator stolen to the Corpus Christi Police Wednesday at a store located at 3829 Highway 77. The 44-year-old woman told Officers she left her vehicle parked and unattended in the parking lot at about 4:00pm with the doors unlocked and the keys on the driver’s seat for about fifteen minutes while she shopped and found the vehicle gone when she returned. The vehicle has not been found.

Offense: Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (Penal Code Section 31.07) State Jail Felony

Case Number: 1312110117

A 45-year-old woman reported her gray 2000 Nissan Sentra stolen from a school parking lot Wednesday to the Corpus Christi Police. The 45-year-old woman told Officers that her son drove the Sentra to school and lost the key. The 45-year-old woman told Officers when she went to the school to deliver a second key, she discovered the vehicle was gone and taken by someone without permission. The  vehicle has not been found.

Offense: Burglary of a Vehicle (Penal Code Section 30.04) Class A Misdemeanor

Case Number: 1312110015

A 27-year-old woman reported a burglary to her vehicle Wednesday to the Corpus Christi Police at an apartment complex parking lot located at 6533 Patti Drive. The 27-year-old woman told Officers some unknown person entered her vehicle while it was parked and unattended for about twelve hours and the person took her purse, a pistol and ammunition from inside the vehicle. The investigating Officers recorded no indication of any forced entry into the vehicle.

Offense: Burglary of a Habitation (Penal Code Section 30.02) 2nd Degree Felony

Case Number: 1312110114

A 54-year-old man reported several weapons stolen from his home located at 1010 Behmann Street to Corpus Christi Police Wednesday. The 54-year-old man told Officers he left his home unattended from about 6am until about 9:30pm and discovered his three pistols, a rifle, and a shotgun missing from his home when he returned. The 54-year-old man told Officers he suspects a person he knows may have entered his home without permission and stole the weapons. No arrests have been made and the weapons which have a value of about $6,000 dollars have not been recovered.

Offense: Theft with 2 or more previous convictions (Penal Code Section 31.03) State Jail Felony

Case Number: 1312110072

Corpus Christi Police arrested 34-year-old Mario Martinez (10/24/1979) for theft at 6101 Saratoga Boulevard Wednesday. Corpus Christi Police responded to a shoplifting complaint at 3:30pm. A 21-year-old store employee reported to Corpus Christi Police that a man filled a backpack with merchandise and ran out of the store and provided a description of the suspect. A Corpus Christi Police Officer found Martinez nearby and discovered evidence of the crime. The Officer arrested Martinez for theft, returned the merchandise to the store, and delivered Martinez to the city detention center.

Offense: Burglary of a Building (Penal Code Section 30.02) State Jail Felony

Case Number: 1312120012

A 43-year-old man reported a burglary to a pharmacy located at 4501 Ayers Street Wednesday. The Corpus Christi Police responded to a burglary alarm at 4:38am and discovered the front glass door was broken. Corpus Christi Police Officers made sure no person was inside and waited for an employee to arrive. The 43-year-old man arrived and identified himself as an employee to Officers. The 43-year-old man reported medication and cigarettes taken, but would require an inventory conducted to determine the exact loss.

Offense: Forgery of a Prescription (Health and Safety Code Section 481.129) 3rd Degree Felony

Case Number: 1312110028

Corpus Christi Police arrested 31-year-old Guadalupe Cruz (10/15/1982) for buying prescription medication with a forged prescription from the pharmacy at 5702 Weber Road Wednesday.

 

“Delta” District

Offense: Theft (Penal Code Section 31.03) Class C Misdemeanor

Case Number: 1312110031

Corpus Christi Police arrested 34-year-old Jose Contreras (11/21/1979) for Assault on a Peace Officer, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a felon, Resisting Arrest, Fail to identify as a Fugitive from Justice, several warrants for his arrest, and theft at a store located at 609 South Staples Street Wednesday. Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint of a theft in progress at 9:55am. A 26-year-old employee told Officers that 25-year-old Amber Perez (12/25/1987) put merchandise in a bag in an effort to conceal and steal the items valued at about $20 dollars while Contreras provided a distraction. Officers arrested Perez for theft and then Contreras fought with Officers. Two Corpus Christi Police Officers were taken to the hospital for treatment for injuries as a result of the fight and Contreras was delivered to the city detention center.
