Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to the Homewood Suites, 5201 Highway 286 Access Rd. in reference to a disturbance with a burglary suspect in the parking lot. The 33 year old victim and several of his co workers, found that items had been removed from inside of a company vehicle. The victim contacted the on duty security guard to report the missing items and while reporting the incident, they observed, James Bruso (08/04/1972), walking nearby carrying one of their backpacks. When the victim confronted Mr. Bruso, he fled on foot. The suspect was chased and then caught and detained until police officers arrived. Mr. Bruso sustained a laceration above his eye during the struggle and was taken to a hosital for stitches prior to being booked at the City Dention Center.
