Traffic Investigators Looking For Suspect In Fatal Hit And Run

Corpus Christi Police Traffic Officers are investigating a fatal hit and run crash involving a pedestrian that occurred in the 5200 block of Weber Road. A 61 year old male was walking across Weber Rd not at an intersection or crosswalk. The pedestrian was stuck by a silver Lincoln Navigator driven by a male with possibly up to five other passengers inside. The suspect vehicle pulled across the street and stopped. The driver and a passenger ran over to the pedestrian but fled when they heard emergency vehicles approaching. The driver and suspect vehicle have not been located.
