OFFENSE: Burglary of a Building (PC 30.02 State Jail Felony)

Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a burglary of a business located at 5756 S. Staples St. and found that someone had entered the business through the rear door and stole a safe that was kept inside one of the cabinets. The burglary occurred sometime between 6:30 pm on July 24 and 8 am on July 25. The contents inside of the safe and damage to the business was valued at over $22,000.  Video surveillance shows a hispanic or white male, 5`9’ tall, about 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes enter the back door. He is then seen carrying the safe down the hall.  Anyone who can identify the individual responsible, or has any additional information about this crime should call the Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives at 886-2840.
