Corpus Christi Police Traffic Officers responded to the 1700 block of Saratoga Blvd. for a downed electrical pole caused by a 18 wheel tractor trailer.  The 58 year old male driver was exiting Roadrunner Delivery located at 1706 Saratoga Blvd. and as he did so, the trailer pulled on some low hanging power lines which then snapped a utility pole causing some lines and a transformer to come down.   Saratoga Blvd. from Greenwood Drive to the Crosstown Freeway is shut down until AEP crews can assess the situation. The damage to the pole was estimated to be nearly $5000.   There were no injuries and at this time no citations have been issued.
