The Corpus Christi Police are conducting an investigation of an unattended death which happened on the 4600 block of Jose Drive Saturday morning. Corpus Christi Police responded to a call for help at 11:05am in which a 38-year-old woman was reportedly not responsive. Officers and Emergency Medical Services arrived and determined the 38-year-old woman was deceased. The Emergency Responders observed the circumstances and suspected the death of the 38-year-old woman may not have been the result of natural causes.

Detectives will have the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office evaluate the 38-year-old woman to determine the cause of death in order to conclude whether or not the death was a result of criminal action. Detectives are interested in speaking to several people, but there are no suspects in this event because there is no determination of criminal action until the cause of death has been identified.
