Corpus Christi Police were called to a downtown hotel located at 900 N. Shoreline Blvd. after front desk staff discovered a man had checked into a room using a stolen credit card.
Officers arrived and found Ryan Taylor (07/06/1989) in a room, and upon investigation they determined that he was in possession of not only the stolen gold American Express card he used to check into the hotel, but three other stolen cards from different victims, and over forty bank checks were found in his possession.
The checks were a mix of different victim’s personal accounts and several business accounts made out in a variety of different amounts. Also in his possession were driver’s license and social security cards belonging to other people.
Officers will be attempting to contact the victims and businesses that appear to have had checks and credit cards stolen.
The suspect was charged with two counts of forgery, one count each of fraud and credit card abuse, all felony offenses.

Corpus Christ Police responded to a burglary alarm at a business located at 5520 Everhart Road and when they arrived found two suspects inside.
Officers arrived and found the glass front door of the business to be broken out. They went inside and found two males inside the business and when they spotted the officers they attempted to flee on foot.
Both suspects made it outside, and ran on foot from the location. Responding officers found, Matthew Salinas (02/03/1997), hiding in some tall grass in the 4800 block of Cain St. The other male suspect was not located.
Officers recovered nearly $1000 worth of stolen merchandise that was returned to the store owner. The suspect that was captured was charged with burglary, a felony. He was additionally charged with possession of marijuana, after officers found drugs in his pocket, and evading arrest on foot, both misdemeanors charges.
Officers are still attempting to identify the second suspect that fled the scene. When he is identified he could face similar charges.

A 41 year old female called Corpus Christi Police after she was hit in the head by a porcelain rooster thrown at her by her spouse.
Officers found the female outside her home crying and with a gash to her fore head. She told officers that her husband, Gabriel Rodriguez (06/12/1976), had got upset with her when she told him that she had sold a vehicle that they owned together.
The disturbance turned physical when the man threw a porcelain rooster that contained a wine bottle toward the female and it broke and cut her.
The female was treated for her injuries and the male was arrested for assault.
