A 45 year old male victim called Corpus Christi Police to report that his nephew stole his car.
Officers contacted the man who told them that he had picked up his 17 year old nephew on Sunday and brought him to his home to watch the football game. When he woke up the next morning his keys and his 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor were both missing.
Officers are still currently searching for the vehicle, and the nephew could face charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a state jail felony.

A hotel staff member called Corpus Christi Police after she found counterfeit bills in a room she was cleaning.
Officers responded to the business located at 6218 S. Staples Street and were told that hotel staff was conducting a deep cleaning of one of the rooms on the property, that was not occupied, when they found four bills that looked strange and faded behind the headboard of the bed in the room.
Officers collected four ten dollar bills that were faded. Officers are still investigating this case, and no suspects have been arrested.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer was attempting to arrest a shoplifter when he made his escape across the freeway.
An officer was at the Wal-Mart located at 1821 South Padre Island Drive when he was told by store employees that they had seen a man who had put on a pair of work boots from the box and had not paid for them. Store employees and the officer attempted to stop the suspect in the parking lot for theft when he took off running.
The suspect ran across the east bound access road before jumping onto the freeway and crossing both east and west bound lanes of traffic. At the time he was crossing, traffic was very heavy in both directions.
The suspect ran into a neighborhood just to the south of Moody High School and was taken into custody in the 1000 block of Fountain Drive.
Rickey Darden (07/30/1980) was found to have nearly $150 worth of other stolen property in his possession. He was charged with resisting and evading arrest, both Class A misdemeanors and theft, a Class B misdemeanor.

Corpus Christi Police were called to the HEB Store located at 4444 Kostoryz Road after a 65 year old women was shoved to the ground while standing in the checkout line.
The female victim told officers that she was in line waiting to pay for groceries when she was pushed down by a man she did not know. The victim fell to the floor and hit the right side of her head on the ground. The victim told officers that when she asked the man if he would help her up from the ground he refused.
Officers located Ryan Robertson (02/21/1992) in front of the store and determined that he was high on drugs and he was arrested for assault, and public intoxication.
The victim was transported to Spohn MMC by CCFD EMS to be treated for minor injuries to her head.
