The Corpus Christi Police Department generated 207 reports for formal criminal complaints from midnight January 24 to 7:00 a.m. on January 25, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a business located at 240 NAS Drive after a man came into the store and tried to use a fake twenty dollar bill to pay for merchandise.

The store clerk, at the Stripes, told officers that a white male about 5`9” to 5`11” tall, weighing 135 to 145 pounds came into the store and attempted to purchase some items with a the bill. When the store clerk told the suspect that the bill was a counterfeit he quickly left the store.

Officers will review store video surveillance in an attempt to help them identify a suspect.  At this time no arrest have been made.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a disturbance with a female refusing to leave Spohn South Hospital.

Once there they were able to contact hospital security who told them that a female that had been treated earlier and discharged was walking around the hospital refusing to leave.

Security told officers the female would walk through the courtyard area, the emergency room, and then back up to the fourth floor causing a disturbance.   Officers found Julia Dwojeski wondering the fourth floor of the building and arrested her for criminal trespass.

Offense: Driving While Intoxicated

Corpus Christi Police responded to South Staples Street and Coleman Avenue after a drunk driver struck a RTA bus.

A female was driving a 1994 Saturn two door south in the 600 block of South Staples Street when she failed to maintain a single lane of travel, crossed over the double yellow striped line, and struck the bus that was traveling north on South Staples Street.

After an investigation it was determined that, Veronica Flores, was intoxicated and she was arrested.

The 26 year old driver of the bus was not injured and there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash.

Offense: Driving While Intoxicated

Corpus Christi Police were dispatched to 514 Belden Street, Fire Station 1, after a car blocked the drive way of the fire station.

Officers arrived and found a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix in the driveway and a male driver who was determined to be intoxicated. After an investigation officers arrested Luis Gasca (07/17/1959) for driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor. The suspects car was impounded.
