A 19 year old female and her new boyfriend were threatened by a former boyfriend who saw them riding around together on the beach.
The female called Corpus Christi Police and told them that while driving on the beach, she observed a vehicle following them without its headlights on and she immediately knew that it was her ex-boyfriend. She did not stop on the beach, and while driving back to her home on the freeway, the suspect vehicle drove past her and immediately slammed on its brake.
The female was able to exit the highway in the 1400 block of Rodd Field Road, and pull into a restaurant parking lot. She went and confronted her former boyfriend about following her and he threatened her with a knife. When she got back in her vehicle and tried to leave the parking lot, the ex-boyfriend blocked the exit with his car.
The female was able to contact police, who arrived and found Hipolito Vasquez (10/31/1996) still at the scene in his car. He was arrested for aggravated assault for threatening the female with a knife.

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 2033 Airline Road, Murdocks, for a disturbance with a customer who was trying to run over people in the bar parking lot.
When police arrived the officer pulled in behind the 2013 Nissan Altima but it sped away through the parking lot at a high rate of speed. The vehicle exited onto Holly Road and fled from officers.
Officers terminated the pursuit of the vehicle once the license plate was known. A short time later, the vehicle crashed through the backyard wood fence of a home located in the 6700 block of Meadow Heights Street.
The driver then attempted to flee the scene on foot but was caught after a short foot pursuit and, Humberto Garcia (10/22/1987), was taken into custody. The suspect showed signs of intoxication and he was arrested for driving while intoxicated, evading police on foot, a Class A misdemeanor and evading in a vehicle, a felony.

A 24 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after he was stabbed by another man while pan handing in front of a store located at 3518 Up River Road.
The victim told officers that he asked the male for money and instead of telling him no, the suspect hit him with a closed fist in the face and in the back of the head. The victim described the black male as being 5`11” tall and weighing about 180 pounds.
While CCFD EMS was treating the victim, they found he had a severe laceration on the left side of his back that turned out to be a stab wound. The victim was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital, were it was determined the victim had a punctured lung.
At this time officers continue to investigate this case, and no suspects have been arrested.

Corpus Christi Police responded to the HEB located at 3033 South Port Avenue after a female tried paying for a pack of cigarettes with a fake $100 bill.
Officers contacted store employees who said the female passed the bill, in an attempt to use it to pay for the merchandise that cost about $5.00. The store employee said that she immediately noticed the bill was faded and had tape on the corners. The employee contacted the store manager who also noticed that the bill did not contain any hologram or security features.
Officers were called to investigate, and they determined the bill was counterfeit and also the female had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear on a theft charge. That warrant had a $5,000 bond. Roanna Erica Morin (03/21/1971) was arrested on felony forgery charge, and for the outstanding warrant.
