Corpus Christi Police responded to a drive-by shooting at a home located in the 900 block of Louis Lynch Drive.
Upon arrival officers found a 35 year man, a 26 year old female and their six children inside the home unharmed. Officers also located nine shell casings in front of the residence in the middle of the street. At least three of the rounds did hit the home.
At this time, officers are still investigating this case, and there is no suspect description and no arrests have been made.

A motorist flagged down a Corpus Christi Police Officer to report that he had seen a truck driving on two rims pull into the Taco Bell drive thru at 5821 Saratoga Boulevard.
The officer went to investigate and found the 1998 Chevrolet Silverado truck still at the drive thru window, and also saw that it had the driver’s side front and rear tires blown out and destroyed from being driven on.
The officer contacted the driver of the truck, Luis Abel Rodriguez (02/27/1970), and after an investigation determined he was intoxicated. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.

Corpus Christi Police responded to the 1900 block of State Highway 358 at the Greenwood Street on ramp after a 32 year old man trying to cross the freeway was struck by a vehicle.
Officers found the man, who had suffered a broken leg, his girlfriend, and the driver of the 2014 Volkswagen Jetta who had struck him at the scene. The girlfriend told officers that she had already crossed the freeway and she was waiting for the victim to cross. When he tried to run across he was struck by the car.
The victim was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital by CCFD EMS to be treated for his injuries.

Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a call to back up an off duty officer from another agency who had got involved with store employees at the Best Buy Store trying to detain a shoplifter.
Officers arrived and found an off duty Aransas Pass Police Officer and two store employees struggling at the front door of the store with a male suspect.
After the suspect was taken into custody, the off duty officer reported that he had arrived to shop at the store when he saw the two employees struggling with the male suspect, Kevin Singleton (09/07/1994).
The suspect had stolen almost $500 worth of merchandise from the store and was attempting to leave without paying when he was stopped by employees and the struggle began. The suspect was arrested for theft, a Class B misdemeanor, and for resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor.
