Corpus Christi Police Detectives have secured a warrant for the arrest of a suspect they believe is involved in a robbery that occurred at 4038 S. Port Avenue, The Home Depot on January 26.

A shoplifting call was upgraded to a robbery after a male suspect assaulted a store employee to help a female friend escape.

A 50 year old store employee told officers that he observed two males and a female come into the store together and split up.  The employee was watching the female put several items from the store into her purse and then watched as she walked out without paying.

When he confronted her in the parking lot, he was attempting to escort her back to the store, when the two males she had walked into the store with came up to him and began yelling to let her go.

One of the males hit the employee in the throat with his fist and forced him to let her go.  All three suspects got into a gray Toyota Tacoma truck and left toward Port Avenue.

The arrest warrant for robbery was issued on March 17 for the man that assaulted the employee, Lloyd Allison Turner (12/02/1972), and  has a $30,000 bond amount.
