Patrol Report 05/07/2015

Corpus Christi Police became aware of a wanted person that was in a vehicle in the Flour Bluff area.

Officers observed the man in a 2013 Ford F150 truck traveling north in the 2300 block of Retta Drive.  The officers pursued the truck for several blocks until it turned onto the 1100 block of Graham Road and it veered into a vacant field.  The truck drove through a fence in the field before its rear wheels got stuck in the sand.

Officers arrested the suspect, Doreteo Garcia (05/10/1977), on a federal warrant for probation violation for possession of dangerous drugs.  He was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, a third degree felony, after a handgun was found in a backpack.

Also in the backpack were a pair of brass knuckles and two plastic bags that contained narcotics.

A 64 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after he stepped outside of his home, located in the 900 block of St. Christopher Street, to take out the trash and he saw a man sitting on the side of his house.

The 26 year old victim told officers that he had been restrained for several days inside his home by his roommate and another individual.  The victim told officers that he was able to climb out a window and walk to the neighbor’s home.

While officers were investigating the call, the victim became uncooperative and refused to allow officers to continue. The officers documented what they could and continue to investigate this report.

The victim refused to be treated by CCFD EMS while they were on the scene.
