The Corpus Christi Police Department generated 237 reports for formal criminal complaints from midnight May 14 to 7:00 a.m. on May 15, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

 

 

“BRAVO” District

Corpus Christi Police Homicide Detectives secured a directive to apprehend for a 16 year old male suspect they believe was involved in the cities latest homicide.

At about 4:30 PM, Thursday afternoon, police returned to the apartment complex located at 1010 Behmann Street, and located the juvenile male at an apartment where he lived.

Police had already arrested Santana Rodriguez (07/17/1993), late Wednesday afternoon for aggravated assault. The 48 year old male victim that was hit in the head several times died at about 3:00 AM on Thursday morning at Spohn Memorial Hospital.

The juvenile is believed to be the second male that they believe may have been with the victim and the suspect at the time of the assault.

The juvenile was taken to the Nueces County Juvenile Justice Center.

A hotel manager called Corpus Christi Police after he was informed by an online hotel booking site that a guest had hacked into a PayPal account to pay for a room.

Officers arrived and were informed by hotel management that a female guest had checked into the Comfort Suites, located at 1814 Ennis Joslin Road, just before 2:30 AM.

The guest had booked the hotel room through the online travel site “Priceline”. “Priceline” then contacted the hotel later that morning advising them that they would not honor payment for the room because the “Paypal” account, the guest had used to pay for the room, had been hacked.

The female guest was located in her room and arrested.   Savanah Nicole Spanutius (04/28/1993) was charged with theft.

Two other females in the room with the suspect were released.

A 50 year male victim called Corpus Christi Police after his bank money bag was stolen from inside of his parked truck.

Officers arrived and were told by the victim that he had just left the Bank of America at 5370 South Staples Street.  He returned to a work site located in the 4500 block of Adkins Drive with the deposit bag.  The victim left the bag in the center console of his truck.

A short time later a witness saw a large black male suspect going through the truck.  The suspect was able to grab the deposit bag out of the console and run to a waiting silver minivan.

The witness followed the suspect and opened the sliding rear door of the van.  He confronted the suspect but was threatened and backed off.   The van then drove away.

The suspect is described as being a black male between 35 and 40 years of age, with thinning hair about  5’10” tall.  He was last seen wearing a black shirt and jeans.
