A 25 year old male victim called Corpus Christi Police after he was assaulted following a road rage incident.

The victim told officers he was traveling north on Ennis Joslin Road attempting to turn left on to South Alameda Street when a dark blue truck drove up next to him and tried to run him off the road. The victim was forced off the road and into a driveway in the 6000 block of South Alameda Street.

The driver of the blue truck exited his vehicle armed with a hammer and approached the victim who was getting out of his car.  The man approached the victim and pinned him up against his vehicle. The man tried to swing the hammer at the victim but he was able to block it.  The man then looked at the victims license plate and stated, “this isn`t over yet.” then left the scene.

He was last seen driving away in his truck and is described as being between 40 and 50 years old.  Officers were not able to locate the suspect.

Officers are also investigating whether a second call, from a different person, regarding a road rage incident with a blue truck made just prior to the victim calling,  is related to this call.

A disturbance between roommates resulted in one being treated for head injuries and the other in jail.
