Corpus Christi Police responded to the Refuge of Hope located at 4035 Violet Road for a burglary.
Officers arrived and the Director of the facility showed them to a rear window that had been broken out. Once inside, the suspect went through every room in the building opening drawers and doors and ransacking an office.
Several televisions, laptop computers, a document scanner, and a large amount of diapers were stolen. The Director estimated that there was about $5,000 in stolen office items and another $800 damage done to the building.
At this time no suspects have been arrested, and officers continue to investigate this case.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a robbery at the Metro PCS store located at 3912 South Padre Island Drive.
A male store employee told officers that a Hispanic male suspect about 5’10” tall, 190 pounds with tattoos, a white t-shirt, and red shorts had entered the store to get a phone. The suspect waited for the employee to help a female make a purchase and leave the store. The suspect then asked the employee if he was still going to help him buy a phone. As the suspect was walking to the register to pay for the phone he picked out, he pulled out a handgun and demanded that the employee give him all the money in the register or else he was going to shoot him. The suspect took money from the register and then fled.
Officers did not locate the suspect. He was described as being bald and had tattoos on his left arm and on his neck.

Corpus Christi Police Officers went to the Homewood Suites located at 5201 State Highway 286 after Police Detectives obtained eight arrest warrants for a female that is believed to have left her children unattended and they started a fire.
The fire occurred at 1610 Seventh Street on June 1 at about 1:30 AM. The four children ranging in age from 2 to 9 years old were alone when a fire started in their second story apartment.
The four children were forced to jump out a window to escape. All suffered injuries from jumping out of the window and were transported to Driscoll Children’s Hospital.
Detectives obtained four felony warrants for injury to a child, and four felony warrants for abandoning and endangering a child.
The female, Roxanne Blanco (03/26/1986), was found in a room she was staying at and arrested without incident. At the time of arrest, her four children were not present.

An alert employee at the Stripes Store, located at 3102 Ayers Street, immediately recognized a customer was trying to pay for merchandise with a counterfeit ten dollar bill.
The employee confirmed her suspicions when the counterfeit bill marker showed it was fake and she called Corpus Christi Police.
The suspect attempting to pass the bill quickly left the store in a maroon Ford Expedition.
Officers recovered the fake bill, and are reviewing store surveillance images to try and identify a suspect.
The Hispanic male suspect is believed to be about 25 years old and was last wearing a dark blue or black t-shirt, black shorts, and black tennis shoes.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a fight under the overpass at Agnes Street and the Crosstown Freeway and found a man who had been stabbed in the back.
The 44 year old male victim told officers that several males and a female were sitting at a table drinking alcohol when an argument started. The male suspect then left the area, only to return a short time later and stab the victim one time on the right side of his lower back with a pocket knife.
Officers were able to locate the suspect, Jaime Aguilar (07/25/1964), who was attempting to hide the knife he used in some nearby bushes as officers investigated the call. The suspect was arrested and the pocket knife was recovered.
The victim was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital for injuries not believed to be life threatening.
