Two sisters got into an argument while they were leaving McCaw’s Bar in a car and the younger sister wound up stabbing her older sister.

Corpus Christi Police were dispatched to the Whataburger Restaurant, located at 6410 Weber Road, after the car the females were in moved across the street.

When Officers arrived they found three females in the parking lot, and one of the females was bleeding from her right arm. The 23 year old female told Officers she had been stabbed by her younger sister, Mercedise Morris (10/18/1995), after an argument at the bar over a former boyfriend of the younger sister.

Officers found the younger sister in the restroom of the restaurant and she was arrested for aggravate assault.

The older sister was transported to Spohn Memorial Medical Center by CCFD EMS.

A knife believed to be used was recovered by Officers.

A 19 year old man riding on a skateboard was struck by a car at the intersection of South Brownlee Boulevard and Morgan Avenue.

Corpus Christi Police responded and the crash investigation determined that a 1996 Ford Taurus sedan driven by a 61 year old man was traveling north on Brownlee Boulevard and was turning west onto Morgan Avenue when he struck the man on the skateboard who was crossing the street.

The skateboarder did not have the crosswalk control signal indicating it was safe to enter the roadway, but entered anyway and he was hit by the car.

The skateboarder was transported to Spohn Memorial Medical Center by CCFD EMS with a possible broken right leg.

At this time no citations have been issued as a result of this crash.

A mother was arrested after she passed off her purse full of stolen cosmetics to her 10 year old daughter.

Corpus Christi Police were called after store employees at the HEB Store, located at 3133 South Alameda Street, observed, Krystal Gail Montez (12/13/1982), and her young daughter walk to the cosmetics section inside the store.

Employees saw the mother fill her purse with almost $100 in cosmetics. As the two started to walk out of the store, without paying for the merchandise, the mother handed the purse to her daughter. Store employees stopped both females and found the daughter wearing the purse.

The mother was arrested for theft, and for failure to assume parental responsibility, a Class C Misdemeanor.

The daughter was allowed to leave with her father.
