The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 917 calls for service and generated 245 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. August 10 to 7:00 a.m. on August 11, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a crash involving a semi-trailer with a forklift on the back and a cement overpass on East Causeway Boulevard and Burleson Street.

Officers arrived and found that the tractor and trailer were traveling west on the 500 block of Burleson Street when the cargo on the trailer being transported hit the upper support of the overpass causing $15,000 in damage.

There were no injuries and the Texas Department of Transportation responded to inspect the overpass.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a disturbance between a male and a female at a home in the 300 block of Virginia Avenue.

When Officers arrived they found a 54 year old male sitting on the porch of his home. He told them that he was sitting on the porch with his wife when they began having a verbal argument. She then pulled out a knife and cut him on his left side and then she left the home.

CCFD EMS treated the man for the injury, but he refused to be taken to the hospital.

Officers found his wife, Sylvia Perez (07/10/1961), in front of a home in the 300 block of Osage Street. She was arrested for aggravated assault.

Corpus Christi Police responded to the report of a stabbing at Artesian Park located at 813 North Chaparral Street.

When Officers arrived at the park, witnesses told them that a female and her boyfriend had been arguing all day. Witnesses also told Officers that the female had made several threats to stab her boyfriend during the day.

The 24 year old boyfriend was stabbed once in his upper right chest area. The male was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital by CCFD EMS with non-life threatening injuries.

The female suspect who had left the scene walking returned to the scene while Officers were still there. The female, Melanie Flores (07/30/1992), was arrested for aggravated assault.
