The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 824 calls for service and generated 199 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. August 30 to 7:00 a.m. on August 31, 2015. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

A 25 year old male motorist called Corpus Christi Police after another man in a passing vehicle pointed a gun at him as they both traveled west along the access road of South Padre Island Drive near Weber Road.

The victim did not know the suspect, and he did not know what provoked the man to point a gun at him. The victim followed the suspect at a safe distance and called police as the vehicles traveled south on Weber Road.

Officers were able to catch up to the suspect when he pulled into the parking lot of the HEB Store, located at Weber and Holly Road. The suspect who displayed the gun, Dominique Beasley (11/28/1991), was arrested for aggravated assault. He was also charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon when Officers located the .9 millimeter caliber handgun in the center console of his truck. He was additionally charged with delivery of marijuana, a state jail felony, when Officers found three bags of marijuana in a backpack inside the truck.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a single vehicle roll over crash and found an SUV on its roof in the 400 block of Blevins Street.

The crash investigation revealed that the driver of a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica SUV was traveling east on Blevins Street when the driver failed to control speed and lost control.   The vehicle struck an AEP utility pole causing power lines to come down and an outage in the neighborhood.

After an investigation, the driver of the SUV, Sergio Guerrero (05/27/1975), was determined to be intoxicated, and he was arrested. He was not injured in the crash, and he was charged with driving while intoxicated, and his SUV was impounded.

AEP Texas estimated at least $1,000 in damage to the wooden electric pole.

A passing motorist called Corpus Christi Police after she observed a female who was lying down in the 5300 block of Holly Road.

A crash investigation is underway into what happened to the 20 year old female victim, but it appears that she was walking near or in the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle that did not stop at the scene to assist her.

The victim was transported by CCFD EMS to Spohn Memorial Hospital and is in the Intensive Care Unit with critical injuries.

At this time Corpus Christi Police Traffic investigators are looking for witnesses to this crash.   They will be closing portions of Holly road to laser map the area at about 8:30 AM on Monday morning.  This is expected to take about an hour to complete.

No suspects have been identified or arrested in this case.

A man who witnessed a fight near the HEB Tennis Center, located at 1520 Shely Drive, called Corpus Christi Police after he saw two suspects drive off in a vehicle and leave a third male injured on the ground.

The man said he saw a black SUV pull into the field across from the tennis courts. Three men got out of the vehicle and two of the men started assaulting the other.

After the victim fell to the ground, the other two got back into the SUV and drove away, leaving the victim in the field.

One of the suspects was last seen wearing a white shirt and the other suspect was wearing a red shirt.

The 39 year old male victim was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

Officers are still investigating this crime, and no suspects have been identified

Four females were arrested for aggravated assault after Corpus Christi Police responded to a large disturbance involving several females in the parking lot of the Stripes Store, located at 4754 South Padre Island Drive.

A 27 year old female victim told Officers that she was at her home in the 4700 block of Queen Drive when a car passed by yelling something at her. The victim, and three of her friends took off after the car.

When the victim turned onto Mansheim Street, she found the blue Ford Focus, driven by Stephanie Roman, stopped in the street along with another car full of four females. The victim got out to confront the other females, and Arlene Alvarado, a female in one of the two cars stopped in the road, got out armed with a knife and threatened the victim. Another one of the females, Sandy Sixto, hit the victim in the face with a beer bottle causing a large cut over her eye.

The victim and her three passengers were able to drive off. As they drove away, the other females who had just assaulted the victim, began to follow her. They pulled in front of her and began slamming on their breaks trying to cause the victim to crash. One of the drivers slamming on her brakes was identified as Joana Pena.

At the corner of Weber Road and Lamont Street the suspects were able to force the victim to stop by boxing her in. All the females jumped out of the two vehicles and were yelling and banging on the victims vehicles windows. One of the suspects cut the victims front driver`s side tire causing it to deflate.

The victim was able to get to the store and call police.

Officers found both suspect vehicles and several females from the two cars were arrested. Stephanie Roman (08/12/1984), Arlene Alvarado (06/04/1981), Sandy Sixto (11/12/1979), Joana Pena (07/26/1988) were all arrested for aggravated assault.

CCFD EMS responded to treat the victim for a cut to her head, but she refused to be transported to the hospital.

None of the other females in her car were injured.

An employee of the Pizza Hut, located at 10525 South Padre Island Drive, called Corpus Christi Police after the business was robbed by a man armed with two handguns.

The employee said that the suspect entered through a rear door to the restaurant as he was cleaning up.

The suspect demanded cash from the register and the safe while pointing two black handguns at him. The suspect also demanded that the employee give over personal property in his pockets.

When the suspect could not get the safe open, he took money from the cash drawer in the register.

The employee was able to run out the front door of the restaurant and he was not injured.

The suspect, who was not located, is described as a black male in his late thirties or early forties. He is 6”0’ tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with blue pants and a dark blue visor.
