A Corpus Christi Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a semi-tractor pulling a flatbed trailer with a load after the driver hit a parked vehicle in the 900 block of North Shoreline Boulevard and drove off.
The Officer was contacted by a witness who saw the 18 wheeler hit a parked Volkswagen Golf with no one inside. The driver’s side mirror was broken off, and the front driver fender of the car had damage from the crash.
The witness said the tractor trailer hit the vehicle, then parked, and the driver got out. He then returned to the truck and drove off.
Officers located the 18 wheeler traveling north on Interstate 37 near Water Street, and stopped it. The Officer contacted the driver, Billy Dickerson (07/22/1958), and after an investigation determined he was intoxicated. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated and his entire truck and trailer and its load were impounded.

A 24 year old mother called Corpus Christi Police after her step father hit her 6 year old child in the chest with his hand.
Officers arrived at the home, located in the 3800 block of Lou Street, and the female told them that her step father, Gilberto Flores (11/6/1963), arrived at the home, threw open the door, walked in and struck the little boy in the center of the chest with his hand. He then grabbed the boy by the shirt.
The female told Officers that her step father was mad about her and her child living at his house.
Officers arrested the step father for injury to a child.
The child did not suffer any serious injuries.

Employees of a business called Corpus Christi Police after two men entered through the rear door armed with a guns and robbed the New China Restaurant, located at 4110 South Port Avenue.
The employees told Officers that a tall thin black male wearing a black hooded jacket to cover his head and khaki shorts with white shoes along with a Hispanic male with slicked back hair, black framed glasses and khaki shorts robbed them and they both fled south around Moon Plaza on foot with cash taken from the register.
Officers are still investigating this crime, and neither suspect was located.

A 37 year old male victim called Corpus Christi Police after his brother stabbed him once in the chest and once in the leg after a fight between the two outside their apartment located in the 100 block of Morgan Avenue.
Witnesses told Officers that both brothers were sitting outside of their apartment drinking when the younger brother starting hitting his older brother with his fists around the face and head. The older brother then went inside the apartment and came out holding a large knife. He stabbed his brother twice and went back inside.
Officer located the older brother, Richard Lee Flores (11/16/1972), and arrested him for aggravated assault.
The younger brother was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital by CFFD EMS with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

Offense: Theft of a Firearm

A couple accused of swiping a firearm off a display table at a gun show back on August 23 were both arrested outside of their home in the 4800 block of Marion Circle.
Corpus Christi Police Detectives had obtained theft of a firearm warrants for the husband and wife after they were identified by citizens as the couple who had stolen a stainless steel derringer handgun off a vendors table at the Al Amin Shrine Temple.
Both warrants were issued on September the 5th, and Officers found them both inside a vehicle pulling up to their home.
The man, Tony Coronado (09/12/1964), and the female, Janie Coronado (08/27/1966), were both arrested without incident.
His bond amount was set at $40,000 since he had a prior theft charge. He was also additionally charged after another arrest warrant for theft was found for him. The bond amount on that warrant was $25,000.
Her bond amount was set at $30,000.
